Pop music star Billie Eilish collaborated with the NBA and Mitchell & Ness to come up with a unique snapback hat collection representing 17 different teams in the league, including the Houston Rockets. The Dallas Mavericks also are represented, but the San Antonio Spurs were left out.
The 23-year-old Eilish obviously is known for her music for which her nine Grammy Awards can vouch, but she’s also respected for her style, which usually includes baggy clothes and the occasional throwback jersey. She also often wears hats, both snapbacks and fitted, which is how the collaboration was born.
Each hat features the team logo on the front with various Eilish flares, including her initials and the Blohsh character that Eilish created.
The Rockets cap features the cartoonish logo the team used from 1996-2003, when they ditched their classic ketchup-and-mustard uniforms after winning back-to-back championships in favor of the pinstriped jerseys that some have dubbed pajamas.
Although the line of caps was revealed Tuesday, Eilish has been seen wearing some of them on her current tour, which hits Austin in November, and former Rockets guard Jalen Green was spotted wearing the Phoenix Suns version on his Instagram last week.
“I’ve always loved fashion so much and always had a real fascination with it,” Eilish told Complex in 2024. “In middle school, all I would talk about is clothes, and I would always notice clothing and style. I still kind of think about fashion first when I meet somebody.”
The caps, which are $60, are available for order online through Complex, Fanatics and Mitchell & Ness.
