OCEANSIDE, Calif. — The NBA season feels like it just ended and now its back in action, and that is great news for the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 2025-26 season is officially back, and the Clippers are looking to get that bad taste out of their mouth. In the aftermath of losing to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs the Clippers seemed to not have lost any confidence. At least that is what Clippers Power Forward Kobe Brown believes.

Before the Clippers first preseason game vs the Ghongzou Loong Lions, Brown had this to say about the Clippers contending. “I think we got a shot with our depth and our experience we have things a lot of other teams don’t have.”

When it comes to depth and experience Brown actually makes a compelling case for his team.

Depth

With the new additions of Bradley Beal, John Collins, Chris Paul, and Brook Lopez this team is going to have a different feel from last season. Brown actually spoke that he has adjusted well with the new players.

“We have a lot of new guys, but we have a lot of great guys putting their best foot forward which makes it easier for me.”

The Clippers have benefited well as far as feeling out their roster adding a player like Beal to provide scoring and adding another play maker in Paul. Collins and Lopez are two more big bodies that the Clippers desperately needed to expand their front court. Looking from top to bottom, they have offense, defense, athleticism, and experience.

Experience

During the last season, the Clippers were able to be good during the year. They exceeded expectations especially with their superstar Kawhi Leonard only playing 37 out of 82 games. Players like James Harden, Ivica Zubac, and former guard Norman Powell were able to carry the fort for much of the season with Leonard being out.

However, the Clippers were up against a juggernaut Nuggets team in the first round of the playoffs and weren’t able to match their level of play. There are teams that look extremely promising during the season, but the playoffs are the champions playground. That is something the Clippers just didn’t have last season.

Players such as, Leonard, Harden, Beal, Zubac, Collins, Jones Jr., and Paul this roster is filled with playoff experience that they are going to need in a tough Western Conference.
