There has been a lot of chatter about LeBron James’ eventual retirement.
LeBron James teased fans with his “Second Decision” as fans thought he was going to announce his retirement.
However, James’ highly anticipated announcement ended up being an ad for Hennessy, which means the Los Angeles Lakers star isn’t going anywhere.
James is set to play in his record-setting 23rd season in the NBA.

James has already managed to play long enough where he’s teammates with his son Bronny James.
In his rookie season, Bronny played in just 27 games and averaged 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes per contest.
James already said that he isn’t going to stick around for when his other son Bryce enters the league, but how about if Bronny ends up becoming a staple in the rotation?
Stan Van Gundy was interviewed by ClutchPoints and talked about how Bronny could end up delaying LeBron’s retirement plans.
“I think a lot of it comes down to two things out of his control: Does he view the Lakers as being on the right path as a contending organization, and what happens with Bronny?
“Does Bronny get to a level where he’s getting minutes and it’s not a novelty anymore?
“It’s an unbelievable story for him playing with his son, no matter how you put it, but what happens if Bronny starts to get in the rotation? Maybe that persuades LeBron to hang around a little bit longer.”
LeBron James will begin the 2025-26 NBA season on the sidelines
Father Time catches up to everyone and it might be starting to catch up to LeBron.
James will miss the start of the 2025-26 season due to sciatica on his right side. James will be sidelined for at least 3 to 4 weeks.
LeBron had been sitting out the Lakers’ preseason with the goal of being ready for opening night.
However, now James will have to wait a little bit longer to start the 23rd season of his career.
