Oregon State men’s basketball has its first commit from the Class of 2026.
Three-star power forward Drew Anderson announced his commitment to the Beavers on Friday. Anderson — standing at 6-9, 215 pounds — hails from Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
Rated the No. 28 power forward and No. 166 overall player in the 2026 class by 247Sports, Anderson is Wayne Tinkle’s highest-rated commit since 2021.
Anderson is lanky and athletic, described as having a soft touch that extends to the perimeter and possessing the ability to defend both at the rim and in space.
“I picked Oregon State because I really felt the love from the staff and Coach Tinkle has had a lot of success with players in my position,” Anderson told 247Sports. “I felt now was the right time because I knew Oregon State was where I wanted to be and it felt like home.”
