The Golden State Warriors are heading into the new season with a strong core and a renewed sense of hope. Stephen Curry expressed confidence in the team’s ability to compete with any squad in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the bond between Warriors players, both on and off the court, continues to impress fans. On Friday, the team once again caught widespread attention during a practice session. A video quickly went viral showing Jimmy Butler teaming up with Curry to pull a playful prank on Buddy Hield.

Stephen Curry didn’t stop there. He also involved another teammate in his playful antics. He engaged a young fan on the court, pretending to ask Gary Payton II for an autograph. However, it was only a joking gesture to flip Payton off.

Payton’s reaction after the fan’s flip sent Stephen Curry into fits of laughter. Following the joke, the four-time NBA champion graciously signed an autograph for the fan.

The Warriors re-signed Payton II in September. He was a member of the Warriors’ 2022 NBA Championship team. He appeared in 62 games last season with the Warriors, averaging 6.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

During a recent interview with Steiny and Guru, Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy shared his thoughts on Curry’s remarkable longevity. Dunleavy stated that despite repeated predictions over the past several seasons that Curry might slow down, the superstar has continually defied expectations.

“What’s to say [Stephen Curry] is going to slow down? People have been predicting a fall-off the last three or four seasons and he hasn’t done that. We’re expecting more of the same. We don’t take it for granted, but the way this guy takes care of himself. We think he’s got at least another year, two, three, whatever it may be, in him. Certainly this year, though,” Dunleavy said.

Stephen Curry is heading to his 17th season in the league since the Warriors selected him as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. Last season, he averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game.
