The Oklahoma City Thunder visit the Indiana Pacers tonight in a preseason matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This will be the first time the two teams face off after last year’s Finals.

Indiana enters shorthanded. The Pacers will be without Tyrese Haliburton tonight and the rest of the season.

And T.J. McConnell will miss at least a month with a hamstring strain suffered in the preseason opener. That leaves the Pacers relying heavily on Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith to run the offense.

Indiana, meanwhile, hit 20 threes at 43% in their win over the Minnesota Timberwolves but struggled to sustain defensive stops. Without Haliburton and McConnell, their ball movement and pace — so key to their string of upsets during last season’s playoffs — will be tested against one of the league’s most complete rosters.

Oklahoma City looks sharp early in preseason play, shooting nearly 49% from the field against the Charlotte Hornets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been efficient in limited minutes, while Luguentz Dort and Alex Caruso have provided defensive edge and shooting consistency off the bench.
