Ever since suffering a torn ACL injury during last year’s playoffs, Jayson Tatum had been out of the spotlight for a while. While the Boston Celtics star remains determined to be back on the court soon enough, a new Jordan brand commercial featuring his college coach, Mike Krzyzewski, is capturing multiple eyeballs because of the bold claims Coach K made.
Notably, Tatum is recovering well and has been engaged with the fans and the Celtics’ front office despite being sidelined. Also, his recent viral workout clip has fans buzzing online, as they did not expect him to recover that quickly from a severe injury.
However, Jayson Tatum and the Jordan Brand have now launched an advertisement campaign that no basketball fans can miss. In the video, the former Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski says, “Jayson Tatum will never be the same again. So it’s a good thing that that was never the goal. It wasn’t backing down. It’s not now, and it won’t ever be. You want more of the same, go find it somewhere else.”
Coach K further continued, “Same? Same doesn’t get you ranked top five… in high school. Same, doesn’t get your logo next to the logo (the Jumpman logo on the Jordan Tatum 4 appears). Same, doesn’t hang another banner in title town. So, yeah, it is true, Jayson Tatum will never be the same. And that should absolutely terrify you.”
Notably, the Jordan brand’s new commercial is more than a tribute to Jayson Tatum and his journey so far. Moreover, it’s actually a manifesto that proves the setback will bring out the best from the Celtics Star, and he will be back better than ever before.

Tatum is working hard to return from his ongoing ACL injury. The Celtics star shared that his recovery journey was painful, both physically and mentally. However, despite a lengthy recovery period and a severe injury, he remains strong and is improving positively day by day.
“I could write a book on it,” says Jayson Tatum .“It’s been a long journey, 21 weeks tomorrow, so I’m just over the five-month mark. It’s just so many different phases. The mental part is definitely the toughest. Lots of emotional days, a lot of crying mentally. It was just tough.”
Luckily, Tatum is ahead of his schedule and is recovering fast. However, he is not rushing things out and prioritizes his health. Also, fans are eager to see what’s next as they await his return to action, stronger and more focused than ever.
