The Oklahoma City Thunder made a pair of roster moves on Sunday as they enter the back half of their 2025-26 preseason schedule.

The Thunder have waived Jazian Gortman. He spent last season in the G League and was added by OKC this past offseason to its Summer League squad. They then signed Viktor Lakhin. He went undrafted this past summer after he spent four college seasons at Cincinnati and Clemson.

Injuries have piled up for the Thunder this preseason. Isaiah Joe and Ajay Mitchell were the latest to join their long list of players out as both sustained injuries in their 116-101 preseason loss to the Indiana Pacers. They have two preseason games left against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets.

It’ll be interesting to see if Lakhin is cleared to play in either contest. He sustained a torn tendon in his foot in May. That injury sidelined him for three-plus months. The Thunder added him to their Summer League squad but didn’t suit up because of it.

Regardless of that, Lakhin’s addition secures his G League rights. The Thunder will likely add him to their OKC Blue roster for this upcoming season. Same with Gortman after he was waived and played in some of OKC’s first four preseason games.

The Thunder still have a third two-way spot left. But considering how much Chris Youngblood has impressed with his outside shot, he could be in the driver’s seat to join Branden Carlson and Brooks Barnhizer.
