Dante Exum, the Australian guard for the Dallas Mavericks, is facing another significant injury that could heavily impact his NBA season.

Coach Jason Kidd confirmed that Exum missed the last two preseason games due to right knee pain, and there is currently no set timetable for his return.

This injury comes after Exum recently signed a one-year deal with the Mavericks, following a 2024/25 season in which he played 20 games, averaging 8.7 points and 2.8 assists per contest.

His recovery has already been complicated by previous injuries, including right ankle surgery, a broken arm, and a partial tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee back in 2019.

The situation further complicates Dallas’ backcourt rotation, especially as Kyrie Irving recovers from an ACL injury and Brandon Williams deals with a hamstring problem.
