Due to the strenuous activities Luka Doncic has engaged in during the offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers have elected not to play him in the preseason yet. With LeBron James expected to miss time, sitting Doncic is the right approach for this team. But don’t fret too much, as Coach JJ Redick has publicly stated that their Slovenian star will indeed see some action before preseason ends.
The Lakers are treating Luka as their face of the franchise and rightfully so. He’s been one of the top five players in the entire league for the last five years. Plus, he’s fifteen years younger than LeBron, so there’s that.
But with each passing game sitting on the bench, it’s understandable if Doncic is becoming antsy about not playing. He’s 100% healthy, after all. That’s why in a recent clip shared on X by ‘LukaUpdates’, Doncic can be seen carrying a basketball while the team prepares for their preseason matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
Classic Luka with all the smiles and basketball on hand. He’s at it again with his funny antics. Just over a week ago, the 26-year-old star attempted a shot on the bench with time still running on the clock during a preseason contest. Does he want to do that again? Who knows. Doncic can certainly get away with it, no doubt.
