NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans today announced the team’s comprehensive broadcast coverage plans for the 2025-26 season across television, streaming and radio platforms.
In partnership with Gray Local Media, 80 of the team’s 82 regular season games will be televised on the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network (GCSEN), the official television home of Pelicans basketball. The remaining two games will be carried nationally on Peacock (Dec. 8 vs. San Antonio) and ESPN (Jan. 30 vs. Memphis).
Additionally, the Pelicans preseason game on Oct. 14 vs. Houston (Birmingham, Ala.) will be televised by GCSEN while the team’s final preseason game on Oct. 16 at Orlando will be available via livestream on Pelicans.com.
Local television coverage begins with the season opener on Wednesday, Oct. 22, when the Pelicans face the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum. The game will be simulcast on FOX 8 and GCSEN.
Play-by-play announcer Joel Meyers and color analyst Antonio Daniels return to the Pelicans television booth for their thirteenth and sixth seasons with the team, respectively. Meyers, a three-time Emmy award-winning play-by-play announcer, brings more than 35 years of broadcast experience to the organization. Daniels, who played 14 seasons in the NBA including 61 games with the New Orleans Hornets in 2008-09, joined the broadcast team in 2019 after serving as a studio analyst for FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX Sports Southwest during the previous four seasons.
Andrew Lopez will return to the television broadcast team as sideline reporter. The New Orleans native spent five years covering the NBA for ESPN.com before joining the Pelicans broadcast team for the 2024-25 season. Prior to joining ESPN in 2019, Lopez spent seven seasons working full-time for The Times-Picayune covering a variety of sports including the Pelicans, LSU, Tulane and recruiting.
The Pelicans pregame, halftime, and postgame studio shows will feature host Erin Summers along with studio analyst Wesley Johnson. Summers returns for her fifth season with the Pelicans, her second as TV studio host. Johnson, who played nine seasons in the NBA including 26 games with the Pelicans in 2018-19, returns for his second season as TV studio analyst.
GCSEN will deliver extensive coverage throughout the season, including pregame, halftime, and postgame shows, along with original programming including exclusive behind-the-scenes content on Pelicans All-Access and expert team analysis on the Pelicans Podcast. The network’s broader sports and entertainment lineup also includes coverage of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, NHL’s Dallas Stars, Minor League Baseball, HBCU football, classic SEC matchups, high school football, boxing, wrestling, poker, and more.
