Myles Turner is off to a terrific start as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.

While it’s just the preseason, the Milwaukee Bucks have a 3-0 record, and Myles Turner has been a part of all three wins.

Sure, Turner somewhat struggled during the first two games of the preseason, but he showed his class in the Bucks’ 127-121 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Despite spending a decade with the Indiana Pacers, Turner hasn’t wasted much time before settling in as a member of the Bucks.

Many may perceive Turner’s Bucks appreciation as a dig at Indy, but that’s not the case. The reason why the 29-year-old looks happier is because of a ‘refreshing’ element with the Bucks.

“It’s a very refreshing thing. The guys on this team are encouraging me to let those shots go, let them fly. Giannis [Antetokounmpo], he just requires so much attention,” Turner told reporters.

“Teams have to load up so much. I probably get a lot more shots than I had in the past. I just think it’s something again, change my mentality and change it to be more aggressive,” he added.

Turner played his first game with Giannis Antetokounmpo and dropped the best numbers as a Buck in the preseason.

It even led to Turner earning some massive praise from Doc Rivers as the veteran head coach touted the center as the best fit alongside Giannis.

Myles Turner explains what Indiana Pacers quality the Milwaukee Bucks are learning

Last season, hardly anyone expected the Pacers to reach the NBA Finals. The Pacers not only reached there, but they also pushed the OKC Thunder to seven games.

A crucial reason behind the Pacers’ success was following coach Rick Carlisle’s team-first tactics. Turner now claims that the Bucks have taken up that approach as well.

“Good to great, it’s definitely a big thing in this league. It’s something that the basketball I’m accustomed to playing with my former team, and we did a really good job of embodying that.

“I think this team just this summer really picked up on that as well. You might have a lot of a good shot, [but] it’s a great shot in the corner, or vice versa,” Turner stated.

Turner put up 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist against the Bulls. If he can consistently drop such numbers, the Bucks may finally make a deep postseason run.
