The Mavericks are back at it Monday night, this time on the road and facing the Utah Jazz. The Mavericks played a fun game against the Charlotte Hornets but ultimately fell, 120-116. The Jazz have thus far lost both of their preseason games, giving up an average of 137 points per game.

As of this writing, the injury report stuff is murky. Brandon Williams is day-to-day, Dante Exum is out indefinitely (neat signing!). Dennis Smith Jr. finally saw some playing time, which means whatever was keeping him out of the first game shouldn’t be an issue. Other than these issues and of course Kyrie Irving and Daniel Gafford being out, there’s nothing else to report from the Dallas side. For the Jazz, Kyle Anderson, Walker Kessler, and Isaiah Collier will be missing the game with various injuries.

You can check out our larger preview on the main page, but I am excited to see Ace Bailey play. He can SCORE. And watching how he plays against a big Dallas front line should be exciting. I expect Cooper Flagg and PJ Washington to get the assignment on the talented rookie. This may hopefully be another solid preseason contest.

As you can tell below, you can join me in a room on Playback (embed below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 10:15 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
