The Philadelphia 76ers will honor their 2001 finals team by wearing the uniforms worn by that team led by MVP Allen Iverson. The Sixers will wear the black 2001 uniforms for 13 nights at home in the 2025-26 season while also wearing them on the road against the playoff teams they faced on their run to the finals in ’01.

There will be another aspect of that 2001 team that will return to Xfinity Mobile Arena as well: Hip Hop the mascot.

Hip Hop, the team’s rabbit mascot who put on a show every night with acrobatic tricks in the air, will join the team’s current mascot, Franklin the Dog, on Hardwood Classic nights. It is a nice tribute to the 2001 team and the return of Hip Hop to the floor for Philadelphia.

The Sixers will first wear their Hardwood Classic uniforms–and welcome Hip Hop back–on Nov. 8 against the Toronto Raptors.
