No. 1 seed Houston, No. 3 Texas Tech, No. 4 Arizona and No. 6 BYU are set to continue their runs through the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship with appearances in Regionals, starting Thursday and Friday.

The four Conference teams in the second weekend tie a Big 12 record, first set in 2002. It marks the fourth consecutive year that multiple teams from the Big 12 reached the Sweet 16 and the first time at least three have advanced past the Second Round since 2022. All four teams remaining in March Madness reached the semifinals of the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, marking the first time all four semifinalists in the event have reached the Sweet 16.

Entering the Regional Semifinals, the Big 12 leads all conferences with a 76.3% win percentage in the NCAA Tournament, with a 10-3 overall record.

No. 6 seed BYU has won 11 of its last 12 games, including a 80-71 NCAA Tournament opener against VCU and a 91-89 victory over Wisconsin. The Cougs are back in the Sweet 16 for the third time in program history, and the first time since 2011. BYU takes on No. 2 seed Alabama at 5:09 MDT Thursday in the East Regional Semifinal at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

No. 4 seed Arizona faces No. 1 seed Duke in the opposite game of the East Regional in Newark, tipping off at 6:39 p.m. MST. It is the Wildcats third trip to the Sweet 16 in four years under head coach Tommy Lloyd, reaching the round with a 93-65 win over Akron and a 87-83 win over Oregon.

No. 3 seed Texas Tech tips at 9:09 p.m. CT Thursday against No. 10 seed Arkansas at the West Regional inside the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Red Raiders are 6-1 since the calendar flipped to March, picking up a 82-72 win over UNCW and a 77-64 victory over Drake to clinch its fourth Regional appearance since 2018.

No. 1 seed Houston faces No. 4 seed Purdue Friday at 9:09 p.m. CT in the Midwest Regional Semifinal at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Cougars enter the game with the nation’s longest active winning streak at 15 games, extending it with wins over SIU Edwardsville (78-40) and Gonzaga (81-76). UH’s six consecutive Sweet 16s are the nation’s longest active streak.
