Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green will miss the Oct. 22 season opener against the Sacramento Kings after reaggravating his left hamstring while in China, head coach Jordan Ott said before the Tuesday, Oct. 14, final preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Mortgage Matchup Center.

Ott said Green will be re-evaluated in 10 days.

The Suns play their second game on Oct. 24 against the Los Angeles Clippers to begin a three-game road trip that continues Oct. 25 against Denver and concludes Oct. 27 versus Utah.

This may be the window Green returns from the injury.

Green first strained his left hamstring in training camp leading up to the first preseason game on Oct. 3 against the Lakers in Palm Desert, California.

He has yet to play in the preseason. The Suns conclude their four-game schedule against the Lakers on Oct. 14 at Mortgage Matchup Center.

The Suns traded Kevin Durant to Houston for Dillon Brooks, Green and the 10th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Khaman Maluach, before the 2025 draft.

Averaging 20.1 points in his four years in Houston, Green played all 82 games in his last two seasons with the Rockets.
