The Golden State Warriors continue their preseason road trip with Tuesday night’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00PM PT in Portland and can be watched through NBA League Pass.

Previously with the Warriors:

The Warriors dropped their first game of the preseason Sunday night, losing 126–116 to the Los Angeles Lakers. Golden State was without four of their five starters — Stephen Curry, Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler, and Al Horford — who all sat out for either rest or precautionary reasons as they deal with injuries.

With the veterans sidelined, Brandin Podziemski took center stage. He led the Warriors with 23 points in 26 minutes, adding eight assists and five rebounds in a strong all-around performance.

What to watch for tonight:

Curry and Horford are expected to return for Tuesday night’s matchup against the Blazers, but Butler and Moody will remain out. Moody will miss the remainder of the preseason with a calf injury, while Butler — who was initially slated to play — will sit as a precaution due to a minor ankle issue. The team is hopeful Butler will return to the lineup on Friday.

Draymond Green, the lone starter to play against the Lakers, will also be out tonight as part of a planned rest day. That opens the door for Jonathan Kuminga to start at power forward alongside Horford — a frontcourt pairing that should be intriguing to watch.

Head coach Steve Kerr has previously mentioned that fitting Kuminga into the rotation can be tricky due to spacing concerns. But with Horford’s shooting ability pulling away potential rim protectors, Kuminga should have more room to attack the rim — an area where his athleticism can truly shine.
