Cam Johnson saw something from Christian Braun that had him far more shook than watching Nikola Jokic play.

One of the Denver Nuggets’ best moves this offseason was trading Michael Porter Jr. to land Cam Johnson.

Many believe Johnson will be the Nuggets’ most exciting star, as he will fill Porter Jr.’s role and improve on his numbers.

So far, Johnson has made an impression in Nuggets practice. And in preseason, he has been focused on building chemistry with his teammates.

And while Nikola Jokic is the standout superstar on the Nuggets, it was Christian Braun who impressed him the most in preseason.

Cam Johnson spoke on Young Man and the Three with WNBA legend Sue Bird. When discussing his new teammates, Johnson singled out Christian Braun and how he has developed.

While Johnson has been following Braun’s career for years, to see his development both as a shooter and defender has surprised him quite a bit.

“I really like the improvements of CB, Christian Braun, over the years.

“I remember early in his career and the role he played and how he’s grown that and become a really good basketball player, a really good defender, knocking down open shots. That’s what surprised me the most.

“Obviously, I watched him last year and he did a great job playing off the ball, scoring in cuts, scoring in transition.

“But what he showed me this summer and going into this training camp is that he got a lot of game to back that up, too.”

Christian Braun set for important role on the Denver Nuggets

In this upcoming NBA season, Christian Braun is set to be a starter for the Denver Nuggets. His strong performances last season earned him the nod.

As well as he has played for the Nuggets so far, Braun must take his game to another level. To be a starter on a contender like the Nuggets comes with certain expectations.

Now, Braun must become the most elite 3-and-D player for the Nuggets and make an even better impression on both ends of the court.

There is no underselling just how big a role Braun will play for the Nuggets next season, and how important he is to their championship aspirations.
