Kevin Durant made his preseason debut for the Houston Rockets (2-0) for his 19th season in the NBA without skipping a beat. The eighth-leading scorer of all-time made his Houston debut with 20 pointson 10 field goal attempts. He led Houston to its second win in the preseason. With Durant in the lineup, the Houston starters scored at will with 81 points and 23 assists. Durant and Houston take on the New Orleans Pelicans (2-0), another undefeated team in the preseason. New Orleans opened up the preseason with two wins in Australia against Melbourne. In those two wins, Zion Williamson reminded the world how dominant he is when healthy.

Williamson has totaled 22 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, five steals, and three blocks in 31 minutes on the court. He is scoring as efficiently as any player in the preseason, shooting 8-of-13 from the field.

New addition Jordan Poole also started both games, averaging 13 points, four assists, and three rebounds per game. Poole steps in as a starter after trading C.J. McCollum and Dejounte Murray (Achilles) out for the first three months of the season.

After this game, New Orleans closes the preseason on the road against the Orlando Magic. For Houston, it closes out against the Atlanta Hawks on the road before starting the regular season.
