The Boston Celtics (2-1) close out preseason play on Wednesday against the only team to defeat them in the exhibition season. In the first game against the Toronto Raptors (3-1) this preseason, the Celtics fell 107-105. Payton Pritchard, Chris Boucher, and Anfernee Simons all started and combined for 56 points in the loss. Josh Minott added 13 points and Luka Garza came off the bench for 12 points and six rebounds. Toronto stormed back after trailing by 21 points at the half. Gradey Dick led Toronto with 22 points and six rebounds in the win. The third-year wing shot 3-for-5 from three-point range to lead Toronto to a win over Boston at home.

Chucky Hepburn sparked the Toronto comeback off the bench. The rookie finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in 27 minutes. Jonathan Mogbo added eight points, five rebounds, and three assists on 4-of-7 shooting off the bench.
Toronto was without projected starters Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, Immanuel Quickley, Brandon Ingram, and RJ Barrett in the win. There is one more preseason game for Toronto at home against the Brooklyn Nets before the season begins.
Boston shifts focus to the regular season after this game. They open at home on Oct. 22 against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.
