PATRICK Mahomes has been urged to buy the Portland Trail Blazers.
The NBA franchise has been placed up for sale by the estate of former owner Paul Allen, who died in 2018.

Allen bought the Blazers in 1988, and also owned Seattle’s NFL and MLS franchises.
A Blazers statement read, “The estate of Paul G. Allen today announced it has commenced a formal sales process for the Portland Trail Blazers NBA franchise, consistent with Allen’s directive to eventually sell his sports holdings and direct all estate proceeds to philanthropy.
The estate has selected investment bank Allen & Company and law firm Hogan Lovells to lead the sales process, which is estimated to continue into the 2025-26 basketball season. The NBA board of governors must then ratify a final purchase agreement.
“This news does not affect the Seattle Seahawks NFL franchise or the estate’s 25 per cent interest in the Seattle Sounders MLS, and neither is for sale.”
Upon Portland’s announcement, Kansas City Chiefs fans launched a cheeky message towards Patrick Mahomes.
One told the quarterback, “Move them to KC.”
While a second echoed, “KC Blazers.”
A third referenced Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, chiming in, “Pat, Trav & TSwizzle gonna bring them to KC…”
And another added, “Oh, we’d love a basketball team in KC woman’s or Men’s.”
Kansas City had a team in the old ABA, which merged with the NBA in 1976.

The Sacramento Kings also played in Kansas City between 1972 and 1985.
Mahomes, 29, has already entered the world of sports ownership.
Alongside wife Brittany, Mahomes co-owns NWSL soccer team the Kansas City Current.
The Current currently tops the NWSL table after eight games.

The QB has been spotted courtside at Mavs games.
