The next stop for the Boston Celtics is the start of the 2025-26 regular season. But first, they have one preseason game left to complete.

This one will be played on their home court, with the Toronto Raptors in town for Boston’s preseason finale. (The Raptors have one more exhibition contest left after this one.)

The Celtics are coming off a blowout win over the starter-less Cavs on Sunday night. Anfernee Simons scored 21 points off the bench in that one, hitting six of his nine three-pointers in 25 minutes on the floor. That game also featured a look at the potential starting five — Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Jaylen Brown, Sam Hauser and Chris Boucher — though that may be subject to change.

The lone low spot of the Celtics’ preseason came against these same Raptors, as Boston got outscored 65-42 in the second half to blow a massive lead and lose, 107-105.

Will the Celtics be out to avenge that loss? Probably not. It is the preseason. Yet with Joe Mazzulla in charge, you never know.
