The game was tied at halftime before the Celtics put on a dominant third quarter, leading by 15 points before heading into the fourth.The Celtics held on to the lead this time, winning by 25 points, and did not surrender the lead late in the game as they’ve done in previous games this series with a 10+ point lead. The game was tied at halftime before the Celtics put on a dominant third quarter, leading by 15 points before heading into the fourth.

The Celtics held on to the lead this time, winning by 25 points, and did not surrender the lead late in the game as they’ve done in previous games this series with a 10+ point lead.

Boston also connected on 22 3-pointers in their first home victory of the series.

“We did what was necessary to do what we needed to do to get it back to New York,” Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said in a post-game press conference. “You don’t get to pick the test that you have, you pick how you respond to them.”

Derrick White led the way with 34 points, and Jaylen Brown wasn’t too far behind with 26 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds, a near triple-double.
