The NBA is gearing up for the 2025-26 season as team’s play their preseason games and prepare for the road ahead.
For former Spartan center Xavier Tillman, he is looking to earn an increased role with the Boston Celtics for the upcoming season. In the Celtics preseason game against the Toronto Raptors, Tillman made his impact felt.
In a back and forth, closely contested game, Tillman finished with seven points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes of action, but the biggest moment was in the closing seconds.
In the final seconds, it was a floating layup from Tillman that found the bottom of the net, giving the Celtics the lead and the win. A game winner for Tillman that made the crowd erupt, and certainly put a smile on the former Spartan’s face.
