Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards hosted his own brand new award show on his YouTube page and it led to a wild sequence of events.

Edwards hosted the 1st Annual Believe That Awards with his best friend Nick Maddox.

There were several categories from Edwards, including “They Got Next” (which went to tennis star Ben Shelton over basketball stars like Cooper Flagg and V.J. Edgecombe) as well as “Hater of the Year” (track star Noah Lyles, sports media personality Skip Bayless, and retired NBA stars Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson earned nominations).

Edwards also gave himself “Sneaker of the Year” for the AE1. But there was one category that led a particularly hilarious exchange.

Edwards had a motley crew of nominations in the “White Boy of the Year” category.

Nominees were Adam Sandler (who starred alongside Edwards in “Hustle” on Netflix), Timothée Chalamet, Tom Cruise, Mr. Beast, and Pat McAfee.

The award went to Chalamet, who joined Edwards on the stream to accept the award even though he was on set filming the new “Dune” movie.

Edwards said that whenever Chalamet starts directing movies, if he needs a main character, the actor should give the basketball player a call.

Chalamet suggested that perhaps they could do a reboot of “Training Day” but with the two of them replacing Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke.

We are all going to think a lot about Ant-Man as Detective Alonzo Harris while Chalamet as Officer Jake Hoyt.

Now, all they have to do is figure out the rest of the cast. Maybe they can get Snoop Dogg to come back as Blue.
