MILWAUKEE — Johnny Davis is back in Wisconsin. The former Badger signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Bucks, the team announced Thursday.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary deal that teams usually use during the Summer League or training camp to evaluate players. The contract can be converted to a two-way deal down the line.

Davis, who grew up in La Crosse, was a star for the Badgers during his two seasons in Madison. He turned heads as a freshman during Wisconsin’s 2020-21 season, leading the Badgers in steals. During his sophomore season, he averaged 19.7 points per game and was named Big Ten Player of the Year.

The Washington Wizards selected Davis 10th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. He appeared in 112 games over 3 seasons in Washington, D.C., averaging 3.5 points per game. He also spent time in the NBA G League with the Capital City Go-Go and Westchester Knicks.

Also receiving an Exhibit 10 contract Thursday was big man Jeremiah Tilmon, who was a key player for the Missouri Tigers basketball teams that appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2018 and 2021.

The 6’10” Tilmon spent last season with the Shenzen Leopards in the Chinese Basketball Association. He appeared in 25 games, averaging 5.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game. Before playing abroad, Tilmon also spent time in the G League.
