Romeo Langford is looking to get back into the NBA, and he’ll look to do so through the Knicks organization. New York announced some roster moves Thursday, including signing Langford to an Exhibit 10 contract then waiving him.

By signing then waiving Langford, that allows the Knicks to send him to their G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks. The Exhibit 10 deal makes Langford eligible for a bonus up to $85,300 if he spends at least 60 days in Westchester.

Langford turns 26 next week as he’s bounced around the pro ranks since being traded from the Celtics back in the 2021-22 season. He was originally selected 14th overall by the C’s in the 2019 draft. Langford spent the first 2.5 seasons of his career in Boston, playing in 94 games (11 starts), averaging 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.

The Celtics sent Langford to the Spurs at the 2022 trade deadline as part of the Derrick White deal. Langford most recently played in the NBA in San Antonio, suiting up for 43 games (21 starts) in the 2022-23 season.

Langford played in the G League during the 2023-24 season with the Jazz organization. He most recently played for BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque briefly in France but parted ways with the team. He hasn’t been on a team since, though he’s now landed with the Knicks once again.
