The college basketball season is nearly here. In less than a month, the regular season tips off. Teams have already started the exhibition portion of their seasons as fans get to know their teams.

A team that isn’t always talked about during the college basketball season is the Vanderbilt Commodores. Vanderbilt has had some success on the court; the team won the SEC Conference Tournament back in 2012. However, the team is making headlines for a different reason at the moment.

One of the freshmen the Commodores brought in this season is six-foot-five Chandler Bing. Yes, a person of college age in the year 2025 has the name of one of the most famous characters in sitcom history.

However, Vanderbilt’s Bing may not share the love that many do for the show Friends. In fact, he wants everyone to know he has never seen the show.

In his player bio on the team’s official website, Bing’s personal section of his bio reveals that he has never seen the show. Could that be any more like Chandler Bing?

Friends was the most popular show on earth, well before this Bing entered it. I understand if it may not be his cup of tea, but somebody make sure this kid sees Matthew Perry in action.
