The Miami Heat had a rough offseason this summer, as Terry Rozier’s gambling probe raised big concerns in their core. However, the franchise recently extended star forward Bam Adebayo to stay with the Heat until 2028-29, but former NBA legend Kendrick Perkins questions Adebayo’s future in Miami.
“Bam Adebayo will not be in a Miami HEAT jersey at the end of this year. He will not finish the season in Miami… I believe it’s time. Miami is nowhere close to being a playoff team,” Perkins stated. However, the 29-year-old landed in the trade buzz, and the Golden State Warriors are reportedly eyeing him.
Nothing is official yet, and as long as any suitable deal lands, the Heat must not trade their key member. If the team does well and makes the playoffs, Adebayo might stay with the team, but if things go badly, Perkins’ prediction might come true.

Despite Tyler Herro’s injury setback, with coach Erik Spoelstra’s strong leadership, the Heat are moving forward to make a long playoff run with their young core, and Adebayo’s defensive game could boost their confidence on the court.
