The Brooklyn Nets have officially made it through training camp and the preseason as they look to prepare for the 2025-26 regular season that will hopefully be better than the 2024-25 campaign. Prior to getting to the 17 players currently on the roster as of this writing, Brooklyn had to make some tough decisions as they waived guards Dariq Whitehead and Kobe Bufkin along with forward Drew Timme.

It’s no secret that the Nets are in a rebuild after they selected five rookies in the 2025 NBA Draft, three of which should factor into the point guard rotation in Egor Demin, Nolan Traore, and Ben Saraf. Forwards Danny Wolf and Drake Powell should be factors in head coach Jordi Fernandez’s rotation at some point during the season, but that may not come until after the trade deadline.

In the meantime, Fernandez will be relying on guard Cam Thomas, forward Michael Porter Jr., and center Nic Claxton to lead the team on the floor as well as in the locker room for such a young team. With that being said, Brooklyn’s first game of the season will be on Oct. 22 at the Charlotte Hornets so here is the roster that the Nets will be working with when their season-opener comes around:
