NBA returns to NBC with Tuesday night doubleheader

The NBA returns to NBC after two-decade absence with a doubleheader Tuesday night.

The action kicks off at 7:30 p.m. when the Houston Rockets take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Then the Golden State Warriors play the Los Angeles Lakers at 10 p.m.

Coverage of the NBA season tipoff will start on NBC 10 at 6:30 p.m.

NBC is also bringing back John Tesh’s iconic theme song “Roundball Rock.”

A programming note: “NBC Nightly News” and NBC 10 News at 7 will be pre-empted, and NBC 10 News at 11 will air after the second game.
