The Philadelphia 76ers hold the No. 3 pick of the 2025 NBA draft after the results of the lottery and there are no shortage of options. With the No. 3 pick, the Sixers can look at plenty of options such as Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe or Rutgers star Ace Bailey or whoever the Sixers may like.

Sixers star Paul George mentioned recently that he liked Bailey over Duke phenom Cooper Flagg on “Podcast P with Paul George”–which was said before the NCAA Tournament, but still. While Flagg will absolutely be going No. 1 in the draft in June, it would make sense why George likes Bailey. After all, Bailey did say he models his game after George.

President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey gave some quick thoughts on Bailey on “Takeoff with John Clark”. Morey was asked about George’s comments on Bailey as well as his own thoughts on the Rutgers star:

I haven’t spoken to Paul directly, although I was with his agent yesterday. The combine here is a big agent get together and look, Ace is a tremendous player. Absolutely someone we’re considering. We’re looking at, you know, every option at 3 and the players that we can pick, but we feel very good.

Bailey is clearly at the top of Morey’s mind as the Sixers look to move forward and get back on the track of title contention. This is a very talented roster, and adding a guy like Bailey, would certainly help this group in the future. Philadelphia will do its proper due diligence to make sure it makes the correct pick on June 25.
