The Clippers last preseason was any indicator that this season will be really fun and exciting, it’s true. The Clippers finish the preseason going 3-1. Though the starters didn’t play in the preseason finale, Ty Lue got to see some new guys play like rookies Kobe Sanders and Yanic Konan Niederhauser. The only new face from the offseason to play in the preseason finale was Bradley Beal.

Niederhauser dominated the preseason for the Clippers with a double-double performance, finishing with 13 points and game-high 11 rebounds in 26 minutes. The Clippers 30th overall pick out of Penn State showcased his offensive skills in the rebounding abilities with 7 offensive rebounds. This helped the Clippers get second-chance opportunities throughout the game. Yanic Konan Niederhauser’s ability to impact the game without dominating possessions is what really makes him an important piece to the Clippers with a loaded roster with scoring options.

Though the game was on new Clipper Bradley Beal, coach Ty Lue got to see his other new rookie Kobe Sanders put out a performance as well. The 50th pick from the draft had a game-high 25 points on 8-for-15 shooting. Sanders also had 4 three-pointers. The guard was also clutched at the free-throw line. Though Sanders is a rookie in the NBA, his confidence so far and the way he’s been playing so far makes him look like he’s been in the league for years.

The Clippers are definitely going to be the team that gives their all with the grit&grind mentality. Though the Clippers have a mix of young and veterans in the team, the Clippers can match up well with teams in the West like Golden State and OKC. 2025-26 Clippers season starts on October 22 when the Clippers take on Utah on the road. The home opener for the Clippers is October 24.
