The Washington Wizards begin the 2024-25 campaign looking to improve upon a down year after securing their worst record in franchise history (15-67).

The organization fired head coach Wes Unseld Jr. in January and finished the remainder of the season under Brian Keefe on an interim basis. He was named the 26th head coach of the Wizards on May 29 after guiding the team to improvement across several areas while on the sideline.

Among the offseason moves made by the front office included acquiring Jonas Valančiūnas from the New Orleans Pelicans and Malcolm Brogdon from the Portland Trail Blazers. The team also drafted Alex Sarr (second pick), Bub Carrington (14th pick) and Kyshawn George (24th pick).
