DALLAS, Texas (WABI) – Maine basketball fans are ready to watch Cooper Flagg make his NBA debut.
You can count Cooper among the people looking forward to getting the season going with a team he believes can contend.
“I think everything will work itself out if we all just lock in on being competitive and just try to win as many games as possible. I don’t know if it’s set in fully, but I’m just really excited. The dream is coming true, so this is just another one of those moments, playing my first game, having that first experience. I think it will be really cool. I’m just really excited and just blessed to be where I am. There’s a lot more people that wanted to come, but couldn’t make it, so I’ve gotten a lot of text message, but I’m going to have a good amount of Maine family in the house, for sure,” said Flagg.
The Mavericks host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN in the regular season opener.
