SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz offered a select number of fans the opportunity to get a brand new team jersey without having to pay retail price for it. This jersey swap comes ahead of Wednesday night’s season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Delta Center.
The Jazz debuted three new jersey sets for the 2025 to 2026 season. Cassie Batinich, Utah Jazz vice president of Public Relations said the new jerseys bring back to life some of the classic purple and mountain designs worn by the team in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.
“It was very clear that purple has and always will be a fan favorite,” Batinich said.
Depending on the nameplate, the jerseys design and size can cost upwards of $120 at the Jazz Team Store. But, before Wednesday’s game, the team will be offering the first 500 fans at the Delta Center one of the new jerseys for free in exchange for any official Jazz jersey from any year.
So, if someone comes in with an official jersey from the 1980’s, they can still exchange it for one of the brand new Icon, Association or Statement Jazz jersey.
“The jersey swap is truly about providing the best possible fan experience,” Batinich said. “We want to celebrate with our fans.”
The first 500 fans who claim one of the new jerseys will also get two tickets to a Jazz game. The exchange is first come, first serve starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Delta Center plaza.
The jersey exchange is being done in partnership with sponsors SeatGeek and LVT.
