Internet detectives dug up an old video of Washington Wizards All-Star Gilbert Arenas revealing Damon Jones’ gambling habits. At the same time, he was a member of the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers.
On Thursday morning, news broke that Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player Damon Jones were arrested for their involvement in an illegal sports betting and “fixed” poker game operation backed by the New York mafia.
FBI Director Kash Patel stated that the illegal operation included “tens of millions of dollars in fraud, theft, and robbery.” Billups, Rozier, and Jones were all arrested, with their respective teams placing the Portland coach and Miami guard on leave.

Some alert internet detectives discovered an old video posted in December 2020, where Arenas was interviewed on Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” Podcast.
Arenas recalled the infamous moment in Game 6 of the Wizards-Cavaliers round one playoff series. LeBron James went over to Arenas and told him, “If you miss these free throws, you know who’s going to win it.”
Arenas then claimed that he and Damon Jones were among a group who gambled at James’ house. According to Arenas, Jones “was horrible at cards” and owed him money.
