It didn’t take long for Steph Curry to send the Chase Center crowd into a frenzy in the 2025 home opener on Thursday night in San Francisco. For the first time in front of his home crowd at Chase Center for the 2025-26 season, the Golden State Warriors‘ All-Star point guard put on a show.
Curry fueled a comeback against Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and the Denver Nuggets with 28 points in the final two quarters. However, his biggest shot came with just seconds remaining on the clock.

After another 3-pointer from Gordon, the Nuggets clung to a three-point lead with 26 minutes remaining in the contest. Yet, there was enough time on the clock for Curry.
On the following possession, Curry pulled up from near the logo to drill a deep 3-pointer from way beyond the arc to tie the game and force overtime.
