The action is back at Mizzou Arena.

Missouri men’s basketball will hold an exhibition game against Kansas State on Friday, Oct. 24, at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. The preseason matchup will take place 10 days before the official beginning of the 2025-26 college basketball season and Year 4 of Dennis Gates’ tenure as Mizzou’s head coach.

Mizzou was picked to finish seventh in the SEC in the preseason media poll. Returning forward Mark Mitchell was named to the preseason All-SEC second team.

The Tigers, who went to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons under Gates but lost in the Round of 64 to Drake last season, will officially open their new campaign Nov. 3 against Howard on the road in Washington, D.C.

Kansas State, led by fourth-year head coach Jerome Tang, went 16-17 last season and fell short of a tournament berth.

The game will take place the night before Missouri football’s top-15 matchup against Vanderbilt on Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee.
