PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The Portland Trail Blazers grabbed the lead early in the second quarter and never surrendered their advantage in a 139-119 home win over Golden State on Friday night.

Matisse Thybulle hit a 3-pointer to put the Blazers up 36-33 in the opening minutes of the second quarter, and that gap grew to double digits by halftime. The Trail Blazers built their lead to as large as 25 points in the second half and were never challenged after the break.

Deni Avdija led Portland with 26 points on 4-of-6 (66.7%) shooting from behind the arc. The win marked the first for interim coach Tiago Splitter, who sent 12 different Blazers onto the floor in the lopsided win.

Jerami Grant added 22 points, while Toumani Camara added 19 points after seeing a team-high 32 minutes.
