Paul Pierce brought balance to the debate
The Philadelphia 76ers took care of business in their first game of the 2025-26 NBA season against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday but star center Joel Embiid was not his usual self as he was held to four points in 20 minutes of action on one-for-nine shooting.

On Friday, NBA legends Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett debated Embiid’s shockingly ineffective showing as Garnett played the bad cop and Pierce urged patience with the former NBA MVP.
Garnett couldn’t contain his frustration as he shared his honest thoughts on Embiid’s offseason.
