The Philadelphia 76ers take on the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds, and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.
The Sixers (1-0) and Hornets (1-0) enter this contest looking to build off fast starts. Philadelphia walked out of TD Garden with an impressive road win after rookie VJ Edgecombe put on a historic performance with 34 points in his NBA debut. He and Tyrese Maxey combined for 74 points as they proved to be too much for the Celtics to handle. The Hornets have a talented duo of their own in LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller so this will be an interesting matchup.
With that being said, here are the latest betting odds for this contest:

Advice and Prediction
This has the makings of a high-scoring affair. The Sixers, obviously, want to play fast led by Maxey, Edgecombe, and Quentin Grimes while the Hornets will look to utilize the athletes on their roster in the form of Ball, Miller, and Miles Bridges. A lot of eyes will be on Joel Embiid who had a tough showing on opening night, but has historically played well against the Hornets in his career. He will be matched up with Hornets rookie big man Ryan Kalkbrenner and the smaller Bridges so there is a chance he can get on track following the tough outing against the Boston Celtics.
This will be closer than many might believe, but the Sixers should be able to get themselves another win. They have an experienced group of players and they will continue to get the big fella in rhythm. Expect a close game throughout, but one the Sixers should come out on top in.
Prediction: Sixers 127 Hornets 119
