Jaylen Brown might decide against searching his own name on social media today.

During the Boston Celtics‘ loss to the New York Knicks on Friday night, Brown seemingly suffered an embarrassing hairline gaffe as he was driving towards the basket.

Jaylen Brown unfortunately took social media by storm with a hairline gaffe

During the third quarter at Madison Square Garden, Brown leaned his head against Knicks defender OG Anunoby during a drive to create some separation before he went up for a shot.

However, as his head swiped across Anunoby’s jersey, it left a very clear black mark on the white uniform.

The conclusion many fans have drawn from that is that Brown is using some sort of spray-on product on his hairline.

It should be noted that Brown missed the shot, and to make matters worse, his leaky hairline went viral on X.

One video posted on X garnered over 1.3 million views and 49,000 likes within hours.

“This guy literally DREW his hairline on,” one fan wrote on X.

“ref should’ve called a foul because that is a serious violation,” another fan wrote on X.

“Two L’s for Boston last night,” one fan posted.

“Rubbed the enhancements on a white jersey,” another fan posted.

Perhaps if Brown had kept the high-top he donned during his rookie days, he might have avoided such a moment.

On top of this gaffe, it was a lousy day overall for the 2024 NBA champions. Despite Finals MVP Brown scoring a team-high 27 points, Boston fell to 0-2 for the season with the 105-95 loss to the Knicks.

Jalen Brunson inflicted familiar pain on the Celtics as he recorded 31 points, and Karl Anthony Towns had 26 points and 13 rebounds.

The game was won in the second quarter as the Knicks outscored the Celtics 42-14 in that period.

It meant New York took a 64-44 halftime lead, and it felt like a blowout was on the cards.

That did not happen though as the Celtics cut the lead to single digits in the fourth before Brunson scored a few baskets to restore the home team’s double-digit lead.

It’s not the first time the Celtics have given up 40+ points in one quarter this season.

In their 117-116 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, the Cs conceded 42 points in the fourth quarter.
