While it might have been Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Luke Kornet getting the lion’s share of the credit (and deservedly so) for the Boston Celtics Game 5 win vs. the New York Knicks in their 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round series after star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum went down with an Achilles tear in Game 4, Payton Pritchard deserves some love as well.
The Oregon native went off for 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal off the bench in a critical game for Boston, helping the team keep their season alive vs. New York despite Tatum being out for the foreseeable future. Pritchard sat down with the folks behind the “NBC Sports Boston” YouTube channel, who put together a clip of his talk with Eddie House, Brian Scalabrine, Chris Forsberg and Kayla Burton.
