On Saturday afternoon, the OKC Blue were busy. A few weeks ahead of the start of the 2025-26 regular season, the G League held its 2025 draft.
The Blue entered the draft with four picks — No. 13, No. 17, No. 24 and No. 55. The G League draft allows teams to add more players to their rosters. Whether it’s other G League players, undrafted rookies or international players. Teams are also allowed to bypass a selection.
With the No. 1 pick, the Blue saw a familiar face go to the South Bay Lakers. Dillon Jones was the top name. He spent last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was traded to the Washington Wizards this past offseason, but was a training camp cut. He attended OKC’s Opening Night ceremony to receive his ring.
Meanwhile, the Blue added two players. They added Vinicius da Silva with the No. 13 pick and John Harge with the No. 17 pick. The No. 24 and No. 55 picks went unselected.
da Silva went undrafted in 2023 and has spent time playing overseas. The 24-year-old is 7-foot and 210 pounds. Meanwhile, Harge played college basketball for three seasons from 2020-24. He recently played for Division II’s Adams State.
The Blue will enter the 2025-26 regular season with a new head coach. Daniel Dixon will take over for Kam Woods, who spent the last three seasons in the G League. They will start their season on Friday, Nov. 7.
