The Charlotte Hornets will be without forward Brandon Miller again on Tuesday night.
The Hornets ruled Miller out on Monday for their contest with the Miami Heat due to a left shoulder subluxation. The team didn’t provide a timeline for his return, either, only saying that he will be evaluated when the team returns home from a three-game road trip later this week.

Miller left Saturday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers early in the second quarter due to what looked like significant pain in his left shoulder, though it wasn’t clear in the moment what had happened. After a 3-pointer from Joel Embiid, Miller immediately bolted for the bench and asked out of the game.
He finished that game with four points and an assist in nine minutes. Miller then didn’t play in Sunday’s 139-113 win over the Washington Wizards.
Miller dropped 25 points and had seven assists in the Hornets’ season-opening win over the Brooklyn Nets last week. The former Alabama star, who the Hornets selected with the No. 2 overall pick in 2023, averaged 21 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season. He only appeared in 27 games, however, due to a wrist injury that required surgery in January.

The Hornets sit at 2-1 on the season heading into Tuesday’s game in Miami. They will then return to Charlotte for a three-game homestand, starting with the Orlando Magic on Thursday. The Hornets went just 19-63 last season, the first under head coach Charles Lee, and missed the playoffs for a ninth straight campaign.
