This Halloween season, Victor Wembanyama is scaring anyone that is outside of the San Antonio Spurs organization.

Warriors star Draymond Green believes the emerging phenom could end up taking home a lot of hardware once the NBA awards season comes, speaking on his first episode of “The Draymond Green Show” this season.

“[If] he stays at this pace, this level, he’s going to be like, MVP, DPOY, Most Improved Player. Like, he could sweep three of the top [awards]… he’s going to be in position to compete for all those awards,” Green said.

Through four games in the 2025-26 NBA season, Wembanyama’s numbers are astronomical. He is averaging 31 points, 13.8 rebounds and 4.8 blocks per game.

“What he will have to show is that he can stay healthy, that’s obviously important,” Green said. “When you’re playing at this type of level and have that type of output, you have to show that you can stand the test of time. That’s pretty much the only thing that can stop Wemby at this point.”

Green’s defensive IQ is unquestioned, but even he admits Wembanyama’s size and ability provide a tough problem to solve.

“It’s going to be interesting to figure out what type of defender to put on Wemby, and what’s the scheme that you need to put on Wemby to affect him. That’s kind of what it’s going to become,” Green said.

The Wembanyama conundrum undoubtedly will be an ongoing challenge for opposing coaching staffs to scheme for throughout the season.

Green posed another interesting question that will not be answered until summer of 2028.

“And lastly I think that question that everyone has is, with the growth of Wemby… are we worried about the next Olympics?” Green asked. “And I’m going to say, f—k no. Because I’m an American and that’s what we do. We win the Olympics.”

The two-time Olympic gold medalist is confident, but the Olympic question will have to wait for nearly three more years.
