I’ve got the less banged up Mavericks (-285) taking this game at home, but I’ll take my wager to the spread with the better odds.
BET MAVERICKS -6.5 (-115).
Indiana is in rough shape right now. winless on the season and missing a lot of rotation guys — 8 in total are listed out, including key starters like Toppin, Mathurin, and Nembhard. And without G Tyrese Haliburton, this team just doesn’t function the same. The offense looks lost late in games, and they’ve already had to pull guys up from the G League and sign G Mac McClung just to fill minutes.
Dallas isn’t perfectly healthy either — no G Kyrie Irving and a banged up rookie F Cooper Flagg — but they’ve still been battling and have covered the spread in 2 straight. Playing at home gives them an extra boost too, and we know this roster has the defensive length and scoring talent to take advantage of a depleted Pacers squad.
Indiana has kept a couple of games close at times, but they fade fast because there’s just no depth behind their starters. Meanwhile, Dallas has guys who can take over stretches, especially Davis inside.
With how these teams are trending, I see the Mavs taking control after halftime and finishing strong. So yeah — I’m backing Dallas at home to get it done and cover.

I know the Over usually hits when Dallas and Indiana meet, but this one feels different. Both teams are banged up, and the scoring just hasn’t been there. The Pacers have gone Under in their last 2, and the Mavs have hit the Under in 3 of their 4 games so far. Dallas is actually the lowest-scoring team in the league right now at 108 a night, and the Pacers aren’t much better. I’m sticking with the Under here.
