Asked Mark Daigneault about how Ousmane Dieng is handling the start to this season, where he has had two DNPs as OKC rolls with guys like rookie Brooks Barnhizer instead.

“He’s always really consistent with his work,” Daigneault said. “He’s been here a really long time, and he stays ready. … It’s a long season. We’re going to need everybody at a certain point, and the guys know that.”

Chet Holmgren will not play tonight against Sacramento due to lower back soreness. But Alex Caruso isn’t on the injury report. He has missed OKC’s last three games while in concussion protocol.

Thunder vs Kings predictions, picks

Justin Martinez: OKC 119, Sacramento 108

OKC scored a season-high 68 points in the paint during its win over Dallas. Next up is a game against Sacramento, which ranks 21st in the NBA in points allowed in the paint per game (55.3). Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should dismantle the defense with drives to the rim. And even without Chet Holmgren, the Thunder should improve to 5-0 on the season.
