The Houston Rockets and the Toronto Raptors are set to play each other in their upcoming NBA 2025-26 season. The Rockets are 1-2 this season while the opponents are 1-3. Ima Udoka’s side managed to win their only game of the season so far, after beating the Brooklyn Nets with a score of 137-109 on Monday. 

Rockets point guard Fred VanVleet’s injury is a huge setback for the franchise. The player played in Toronto for seven seasons and won a championship there but has now been ruled out with a torn ACL. In addition to him, wing Dorian Finney-Smith is also sidelined for the game on Wednesday following left ankle surgery. 

On the other hand, the Raptors are coming off a loss against the San Antonio Spurs with a score of 121-103, which extended their losing streak to three games. The struggling Raptors must fix their defence soon as it looks alarming.   

For the Raptors, Jakob Poeltl is doubtful for the game against the Rockets as the center is suffering from low back tightness. The team will also be without two-way players Chucky Hepburn, A.J. Lawson and Alijah Martin.
